About this file
This document is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) issued by the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) under the UC-LBNL/DOE Contract No. DE-AC02-05CH11231. LBNL is seeking an offeror to provide the fabrication, dimensional inspection, assembly, vacuum testing, and delivery of 172 RF bellows assemblies for the ALS-U project. There are six types of RF bellows assembly required. The detailed design has been completed by LBNL, and some prototyping and testing has been done. The RFQ provides a line-item list of the required parts, with quantities and delivery dates. Offerors must meet mandatory requirements, including recent experience manufacturing complex ultra-high vacuum chambers for particle accelerator applications, and the capability to machine specific materials using 5-axis CNC and wire erosion machining. Pricing terms, delivery timelines, and other instructions are also specified. The RFQ is due on August 30, 2024, at 3 PM Pacific.
