About this file
This document is Addendum #3 for the DOC FDCF Fiber Optic Cabling project issued by the Iowa Department of Administrative Services (DAS), with the Request for Bid (RFB) number 005-RFB-0162-2022. The addendum, dated October 11, 2022, updates the bid submission deadline to Monday, October 17, 2022, at 2:00 pm Central Time, with bids to be submitted through the Iowa IMPACS Electronic Procurement System. The document includes clarifications from a site visit on October 6, 2022, addressing specific technical questions about fiber optic cabling installation, including fiber type, housing requirements, and network connectivity.
The addendum provides key technical specifications, confirming that the vendor will provide fiber jumpers, run fiber to existing network drops, and install racks or wall-mounted housings in multiple buildings (specifically Buildings A, I, and M). The project involves connecting to two existing networks: a Cisco #2960X (1 gig) and a Unify Pro (10 gig) network. The vendor will need to run fiber to three different drop locations in H-Building and provide appropriate cabling and infrastructure to support the fiber optic network installation.
