About this file

This document is a Request for Bid (RFB) issued by the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) for the On-Call Region 2 Paving contract, specifically the I5 Exit 233 Ramp Paving Project. The project involves a 3-inch inlay paving at the I5 exit 233 in Albany Lebanon, with work limited to night hours between 9 PM and 5:30 AM and no holiday or weekend closures. Key work items include mobilization, temporary work zone traffic control, cold plane pavement removal (10,704 square yards), asphalt concrete paving (1,806 tons), and pavement marking/striping (9,795 linear feet). The bid is due on April 4, 2024, at 2:00 pm, with a required project completion date of June 30, 2025, and the contract is restricted to current price agreement holders.

The procurement includes specific regulatory requirements such as compliance with domestic preference regulations (ORS 279C.303) and prevailing wage rates dated January 5, 2025. Contractors must adhere to strict traffic management constraints, including providing portable changeable message signs at least 3 days prior to lane closures and obtaining approvals for ramp closures with a 28-day mobility notice. Bid submission is through OregonBuys, with contractors required to upload their pricing and completed bid electronically. While no specific budget range is stated, the detailed specifications suggest a substantial infrastructure investment focused on critical transportation infrastructure improvements in the Region 2 area, with an emphasis on precise coordination and minimal traffic disruption.
