About this file
This document is a Request for Bid (RFB) issued by the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) for an On-Call Region 2 Paving project. The project involves a 3" inlay paving at Interstate 5 Exit 228 near Corvallis and Lebanon in Linn County, with a required completion date of June 30, 2025. The bid is due on April 3, 2024, at 2:00 PM, and the project includes several key work items such as mobilization, temporary work zone traffic control, pollution control plan, cold plane pavement removal, asphalt concrete placement, and pavement markings. The total estimated quantities include 11,423 square yards of pavement removal, 1,928 tons of asphalt mixture, and various markings and legends.
The project has specific requirements including compliance with domestic preference regulations (ORS 279C.303) and prevailing wage rates. Work is restricted to night hours only (9 PM - 5:30 AM) with no holiday or weekend closures, and contractors must provide portable changeable message signs at least 3 days before any ramp or lane closure. State route to state route ramp closures require a 28-day mobility notice, with approvals only granted if a single ramp is closed for no more than 3 days. The bid process requires contractors to complete the bid form, include unit and total prices for all bid items, and submit through the OregonBuys platform, with the final work order becoming effective upon ODOT's procurement authority signature.
