About this file
This document is a site plan and construction specification from the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) for a secondary containment structure and building cover located in Mosier, Wasco County. The project involves constructing a 748 square foot pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) on a specified tax lot, with specific requirements for secondary containment of chemical containers. The site is designed to meet secondary containment regulations, capable of holding 2000 gallons and 100% of the largest container volume (10,000 gallons), in compliance with 40 CFR264.175 standards.
The project is designed under 2016 Oregon Structural Specialty Code specifications, with a construction type classified as II-B (Unprotected, Non-Combustible) in an Industrial Zone. Key technical specifications include a basic design wind speed of 99 MPH, design ground snow load of 42 psf, seismic design considerations, and a presumptive soil load bearing capacity of 1500 psf. The structure will include specific site work requirements such as granular backfill, hot-dip galvanized components, and structural concrete with a 3300 psi rating. The project will require special inspections and compliance with Mosier Municipal Code, Wasco County regulations, and other state and local building requirements.
