About this file

This is a Request for Bid form issued by the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) for an on-call Region 2 paving project. The project involves grinding and inlaying a 60-foot by 28-foot section of US20 at milepoint 49.5 to repair damage from a vehicle fire located in Linn County. The anticipated work includes mobilization, temporary work zone traffic control, pollution control planning, cold plane pavement removal to 2 inches deep (187 square yards), Level 3 1/2-inch dense asphalt concrete pavement mixture (21 tons), and hi-build paint application on extruded surface (180 linear feet). The bid submission deadline is October 17, 2024, at 2:00 PM through the OregonBuys system. The required completion date for the project is December 31, 2024. ODOT Project Manager Cody Stone (503-953-6334) and Site Representative Keith Downs (541-286-8535) are the primary contacts for the project.

Contractors must submit unit and total prices for all bid items on the completed form and enter the total bid price on the Items tab in OregonBuys. The project requires compliance with prevailing wage rates for public works contracts in Oregon as established by the Bureau of Labor and Industries, effective July 5, 2024. Portable changeable message signs must be placed a minimum of three days in advance of any lane closures, with locations and messages submitted to the project manager as part of the contractor's traffic control plan. The cold planed surface must be swept and cleaned before opening to traffic. Payment will be made based on actual quantities provided and performed rather than estimated quantities, and the work order becomes effective only upon ODOT's issuance of a notice to proceed.
