TO ALL BIDDERS
QUESTIONS
1. Questions and Responses:
a. Could you please confirm whether the Owner has established a construction budget or engineer’s estimate for the project that can be shared with bidders?
The estimated budget for the project is not disclosed by the Owner. The Owner takes the position that those budgets are not disclosed under the Open Records Act.
b. Would you please provide access to the full bid package, drawings, and specifications?
All of the bid documents can be downloaded at the City of Cedartown’s website:
http://www.cedartowngeorgia.gov/.
c. Plans call for a mechanically attached TPO roofing system. Based on the photos provided and history of the structure, we are concerned with the condition of the existing concrete deck and mechanically attaching another roofing system. We recommend a fully adhered TPO system to preserve integrity of roof decking. Can TPO roofing system be modified from mechanically fastened to a fully adhered TPO roofing system?
For bidding purposes, please price the roofing as mechanically attached per the drawings and specifications. If deemed prudent, we'll be happy to explore alternative options for the roofing installation after the Bid is awarded.
d. Is contractor to dispose of removed auditorium seating?
Yes, the Contractor is responsible for the removal and disposal of the existing auditorium seating.
e. Is contractor to leave threaded bolts in place in slab associated with removed auditorium seating?
No, all of the associated hardware for the existing auditorium seating is to be removed by the Contractor. The new seating layout does not align with the existing layout. If removal of the existing hardware proves to be too damaging to the existing slab, then we will explore alternative options in field.
f. Regarding the project referenced above, we have warranty eligible contractors interested in providing a competitive bid using MuleHide’s TPO roof system. MuleHide can also provide the same system warranty as specified. The formal request, along with supporting documentation, is attached.
