Reuse prior GovTribe AI work
Continue prior research, reuse generated files, share important conversations, and help GovTribe AI work from earlier context without automatically sharing every chat.
Click GovTribe AI, then use an existing conversation, project, shared conversation, or workspace file as the starting point for new work.
Prior conversations, projects, shared links, and User Files help your team avoid rebuilding the same context from scratch. GovTribe AI does not automatically search every old chat or every teammate's conversation, so choose the source that matches what you want to reuse.
Choose the right source of prior context
| If you need to... | Start with... | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Continue the same line of work | Existing conversation | Open the conversation and send the next prompt in the same thread. |
| Try a different direction without changing the original thread | Branch from here | Branch from the response that should become the starting point for the new path. |
| Let someone inspect the exact prompt and response history | Shared conversation link | Create a share link, inspect the shared view, then send the link to the intended recipient. |
| Ask GovTribe AI to look for your earlier AI work | Full Conversation Recall | Turn on recall in personalization settings, then ask GovTribe AI to find or continue the prior analysis. |
| Reuse documents, templates, research, or generated outputs | User Files | Ask GovTribe AI to search for visible files by file type, topic, pursuit, agency, tag, creator, or date. |
| Keep related AI work together | Project | Put related conversations and automations in the same project so they are easier to revisit. |
Ask GovTribe AI to reuse prior conversations
Full Conversation Recall allows GovTribe AI to search prior AI conversations when useful. New conversations do not automatically include old conversation snippets, so ask directly when you want earlier AI work considered.
Good requests include:
Use the same format as my prior capture brief for this agency, but refresh all opportunity and award facts before making recommendations.Continue the earlier analysis if you can find it. If you use an older conversation, tell me what source you used and what still needs current verification.Find the prior market scan we did for this buyer and update it with current awards, opportunities, and next actions.Treat prior AI work as context, not current truth. Ask GovTribe AI to refresh deadlines, values, statuses, attachments, amendments, award activity, and other facts before you rely on the answer.
Turn important outputs into reusable files
Use User Files for materials your team may want to reuse across conversations, pursuits, or proposals. Useful reusable files include proposal outlines, capture briefs, capability statements, past performance summaries, debrief notes, pricing notes, market analyses, charts, and approved boilerplate.
For best results:
- Save or upload important outputs as User Files when you want them to be discoverable later.
- Use descriptive file names, tags, pursuit links, or project context when available.
- Ask GovTribe AI to start with files you created or attached when that matters, then expand to other workspace-visible files if needed.
- Ask GovTribe AI to identify whether it used your file, a teammate's file, or another visible workspace file when provenance matters.
Example prompts:
Find prior User Files for this pursuit and use the most recent proposal outline as the structure for a new draft.Search our workspace files for earlier reports on this buyer, then create an updated version with current awards, opportunities, and next actions.Start with files I created for this pursuit. If there is not enough context, expand to other workspace-visible files and tell me which files you used.Share work intentionally
Use a conversation share link when a teammate, partner, or customer needs to see the exact conversation. Before sending a link externally, open the shared conversation view once to confirm what recipients will see.
Conversation sharing is intentional. Sharing a conversation link is different from automatically sharing every teammate's chat history with GovTribe AI. If your team wants a reusable deliverable instead of a full conversation, save the output as a User File or create a document, spreadsheet, report, or other generated file.
Keep privacy and freshness clear
Prior-context workflows work best when you name the source you expect GovTribe AI to use.
- Use existing conversations for thread-specific continuity.
- Use Full Conversation Recall when you want GovTribe AI to search your prior AI work and the setting is enabled.
- Use User Files for reusable team artifacts, generated documents, and uploaded company assets.
- Use shared conversation links when someone needs to review the exact chat history.
When an answer affects a bid decision, proposal submission, customer communication, or pricing assumption, review the underlying GovTribe records, source files, and generated output before acting.
