UNSPSC 93141601: Population census services

UNSPSC 93141601 Population census services (Commodity) encompasses the planning, execution, and administration of decennial and special-purpose population counts conducted by state and local statistical agencies, planning departments, and transit authorities. State and local governments use this code to procure census-related services including data collection, survey administration, demographic analysis, and reporting. Work spans full-cycle census operations—from preliminary mapping and enumeration planning through final tabulation and dissemination of results—as well as targeted population surveys conducted between decennial cycles to support transportation planning, housing policy, and infrastructure investment decisions. Issuing bodies include state demographic research offices, county planning and development agencies, municipal planning departments, regional transit authorities, and independent school districts conducting student population assessments.

The source contains no recent state or local contract opportunities posted under this code. Without posted solicitations, geographic concentration and representative issuing-body activity cannot be characterized from current procurement data. Firms pursuing work in census and demographic services should monitor state demographer offices, metropolitan planning organizations, and county GIS/planning departments directly, as these entities may not consistently tag such work to this specific UNSPSC code in public procurement systems.
