UNSPSC 73151602: Packaging of agricultural by products services

UNSPSC 73151602 Packaging of agricultural by products services is a Commodity code that shows minimal alignment between its nominal scope and recent state and local procurement activity. The code title suggests services focused on packaging and handling agricultural byproducts, but the five recent opportunities posted under this code span irrigation system installation, election equipment transportation, charter bus services, tourism collateral fulfillment, and seed harvesting labor — none of which constitute packaging of agricultural byproducts. The mismatch indicates this code either carries stale or incorrectly applied tags in the sourced procurement database, making it unsuitable as a reliable indicator of current demand in the stated commodity area.

The recent opportunities posted under 73151602 do not cluster around a coherent service family, geographic region, or issuing-body type. Solicitations come from the City of DeBary, Florida (irrigation improvements, IFB); the City of Detroit Office of Contracting and Procurement (election equipment transportation, RFQ, due October 1, 2026); Bibb County Schools in Georgia (charter bus services, IFB, due September 15, 2026); Visit St. Pete-Clearwater, a convention and visitors bureau serving Pinellas County, Florida (fulfillment services, ITQ, due July 30, 2026); and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (seed harvesting labor, ITB, due August 27, 2026). The activity spans Florida and Georgia with no meaningful concentration. Given the absence of substantive recent opportunities genuinely tied to agricultural byproduct packaging, this code warrants deprioritization until tagging accuracy improves or legitimate procurement volume emerges under the code's actual scope.
