UNSPSC 73141601: Thread processing services

UNSPSC 73141601 Thread processing services (Commodity) does not match the work state and local governments are actually soliciting under this code. The three recent opportunities posted under the code—all from Broward County, Florida, between February and June 2026—are roadway construction, traffic signal systems, and adaptive traffic control deployments, not thread processing. Thread processing services typically encompass industrial fabric or textile operations unrelated to transportation infrastructure.

Broward County, Florida, is the sole issuing body appearing in the recent-opportunities block, posting three open-end indefinite-quantity contracts for miscellaneous roadway construction and traffic control work funded through transportation surtax proceeds. All three solicitations (ITB TRN2131279C1 for Pine Island Road Adaptive Traffic Control and Fiber Optics Systems, posted February 6, 2026, due March 9, 2026; ITB TRN2131796B1 for Miscellaneous Traffic and Roadway Construction, posted March 10, 2026, due April 9, 2026; and ITB PNC2132157B1 for Miscellaneous Roadway Construction, posted May 28, 2026, due June 30, 2026) require FDOT Pre-Qualification certificates, performance bonds at 100 percent of contract value, County Business Enterprise participation goals ranging from 25 to 30 percent, and compliance with prevailing wage and local-hire requirements. The code shows little relevant recent activity aligned with its nominal scope.
