UNSPSC 73141600: Thread and yarn processing

UNSPSC 73141600 Thread and yarn processing, a Class code, shows no relevant recent state and local procurement activity. The three most recent opportunities posted under this code—all from Broward County, Florida—are roadway construction, traffic control systems, and adaptive traffic signal deployment, which fall outside the textile and fiber manufacturing scope that the code's taxonomy nominally covers. The mismatch between the code's name and the actual work being solicited suggests either miscoding by the issuing body or that state and local procurement data has not aligned this code with its intended use case in recent months.

Broward County has been the sole issuing body posting under this code in the available dataset, with three open-end indefinite-quantity contracts solicited between February and June 2026 for highway and traffic engineering work. The most recent was Solicitation PNC2132157B1, posted May 28, 2026, for miscellaneous roadway construction with an IFB response due June 30, 2026; prior postings included Solicitation TRN2131796B1 for miscellaneous traffic and roadway construction (due April 9, 2026) and Solicitation TRN2131279C1 for the Pine Island Road Adaptive Traffic Control and Fiber Optics Systems project (ITB, due March 9, 2026). All three carry 25–30 percent County Business Enterprise goals and are funded through Broward County transportation surtax proceeds. If thread and yarn processing is your intended target market, this code warrants monitoring for corrected posting patterns, as the current activity does not reflect the code's stated scope.
