UNSPSC 55111514: Motion pictures on digital video disk DVD

UNSPSC 55111514 Motion pictures on digital video disk DVD is a Commodity code, but the single recent state and local opportunity posted under it—the City of St. Marys, Georgia's RFP for audio-visual services—does not involve DVDs and shows no relevance to the code's nominal scope of prerecorded digital video disk media. The opportunity instead solicits integrated audio-visual system design, installation, and technical support for a municipal council chamber and court facility, including live recording, streaming, closed captioning, hearing-assist devices, and five-year equipment maintenance. The mismatch suggests either a data-entry error in the opportunity's classification or that the code's recent activity does not align with its stated commodity definition. State and local procurement activity under this code shows minimal recent documented volume.

No additional recent opportunities are present in the source to establish geographic spread, issuing-body mix, or representative purchasing patterns. The City of St. Marys RFP (due July 17, 2026) represents the only visible recent posting and does not ground a reliable assessment of state and local procurement trends under 55111514. Given the classification mismatch and sparse activity, firms should verify whether opportunities tagged with this code actually involve DVD media or whether reclassification is warranted before committing business development resources.
