UNSPSC 52161549: Digital picture frame

A framed TFT display designed to display preloaded digital images (jpeg or any digital image format). Has slots for flash memory cards and/or an interface for digital photo camera connection. The frame looks like casual photo frame.

UNSPSC 52161549 Digital picture frame (Commodity) shows minimal recent state and local procurement activity aligned with the code's nominal scope. The three recent opportunities tagged to this code represent environmental monitoring equipment, law enforcement equipment, and school photography services — none of which constitute digital picture frames or closely related display products. The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality's June 2026 IFB for an EPA NSPS OOOOa-certified optical gas imaging infrared camera is an environmental compliance tool unrelated to digital display frames; Sourcewell's May 2026 RFP for law enforcement equipment through a multi-state cooperative purchasing vehicle; and Hutto Independent School District's April 2026 RFP for school photography and yearbook services similarly fall outside the digital picture frame category. The mismatch between the code's stated commodity and the actual procurement activity suggests tagging error rather than substantive demand under this code.

State and local issuing bodies posting opportunities under this code span a Texas environmental agency, a Minnesota cooperative purchasing unit serving multiple states and counties, and a Texas school district. Geographic activity touches Texas and the multi-state Sourcewell network (including Washington and Minnesota). The recent opportunities show no pattern of repeat buyers or concentrated demand in any jurisdiction. Given the absence of digital picture frame solicitations in the recent record and the plainly unrelated nature of the tagged opportunities, the code shows little actionable activity for vendors in the digital picture frame space.
