UNSPSC 41105003: Test sieves

UNSPSC 41105003 Test sieves is a Commodity code nominally describing laboratory and field screening equipment, but recent state and local opportunities tagged under this code show little activity aligned with the code's core scope. The City of Wichita Public Works & Utilities Department posted an IFB in July 2026 for mechanical screening services at Brooks Landfill — screening street sweepings through 1.5-inch screens and finished compost through half-inch screens — which involves the application of screening equipment but not the procurement of sieves themselves. Fulton County, Georgia simultaneously posted an IFB for fire and rescue tools, equipment, self-contained breathing apparatus, and maintenance services, a solicitation entirely unrelated to sieves or screening. The code shows minimal recent procurement activity aligned with its nominal product description and no clear pattern of state or local buying demand for test sieves as equipment purchases.

Without additional opportunities in the dataset specifically procuring sieve equipment, test sieves, or related screening apparatus, the activity visible under this code does not support a meaningful characterization of issuing-body concentration, geographic spread, or representative demand. Business development professionals should treat this code as currently inactive for state and local procurement purposes and monitor for future opportunities that actually seek sieve procurement or laboratory screening equipment.
