UNSPSC 40101824: Quartz heater

UNSPSC 40101824 Quartz heater is a Commodity code that shows minimal recent state and local procurement activity directly aligned with quartz heating equipment. The recent opportunities posted under this code do not reflect purchases of quartz heaters themselves. Instead, the tagged solicitations cover electrical work for a school district (Northside Independent School District in San Antonio), boiler and chiller maintenance for a transit authority (Charlotte Area Transit System), water treatment plant construction improvements, and a cooperative law enforcement equipment procurement through Sourcewell. None of these scopes involve the procurement or installation of quartz heaters as the primary deliverable.

The mismatch between the code's nominal scope and actual recent solicitation activity suggests that either the state and local issuing bodies are mis-tagging opportunities within their procurement systems, or quartz heater procurement under this code is not currently active in the available record. The geographic reach spans Texas (school district and city opportunities), Georgia (water treatment work), and a multi-state cooperative framework through Minnesota-based Sourcewell, but none represents substantive demand for quartz heating equipment. Business development professionals evaluating this code should verify directly with issuing bodies whether quartz heater procurement is planned or whether this code sees regular activity outside the current posting window. The recent activity does not support meaningful pursuit at this time.
