About NIGP 80474
NIGP 80474 Satellites (Navigation, Geosynchrous, Orbiting, Etc.), an Item code, does not align with the state and local procurement opportunities present in the source material. The recent solicitation records show no activity under this code — instead, they document maintenance services, law enforcement telecommunications, wireless and satellite communications infrastructure, security electronics, and detention equipment services across Texas school districts, Utah state agencies, and Orange County, California. The NIGP 80474 classification describes acquisition of satellite hardware and orbital systems, which is fundamentally distinct from the service contracts and equipment maintenance work appearing in the source block.
The disconnect between the code definition and the actual procurement records indicates either a data-classification error or the absence of substantive state and local purchasing activity in this specific commodity line during the recent period covered by the source. No state or local government opportunities for satellites as navigation, geosynchrous, or orbiting systems are documented in the most-recent-state-local-contract-opportunities block. This code does not warrant pursuit based on available market signals.
