NIGP 65030: Ice Rink Resurfacer

NIGP 65030 Ice Rink Resurfacer is an Item code that does not align with the state and local procurement activity reflected in the source material. The recent opportunities posted under or near this code—a tennis center reconstruction ITB in DeKalb County, Georgia; two playground equipment design-and-installation RFPs in Chatham County, Georgia; and an arts and crafts supplies contract with Columbus Consolidated Government—bear no relationship to ice rink resurfacing equipment or services. None of the four solicitations name ice rink resurfacers, skating facility maintenance, or cold-storage equipment as line items or scope elements.

The source contains no evidence of active state and local government procurement under NIGP 65030 Ice Rink Resurfacer during the period covered by the recent-opportunities block (February through July 2026). Absence of posting activity under this code is itself a signal; many state and local jurisdictions operate ice rinks and skating programs, but the code does not appear in current solicitation flow. If pursuit of this code is under consideration, a business development team should verify whether issuing bodies in target geographies classify ice rink equipment and resurfacing services under this code, a related facilities-maintenance code, or a broader equipment-services taxonomy, and whether recent RFPs or RFQs in the target market have been posted elsewhere or carried forward from prior fiscal years.
