NIGP 20960: Music or Sound Editing Software (Mini/Mainframe Computer)

NIGP 20960 Music Or Sound Editing Software (Mini/Mainframe Computer) is an Item code that does not align with actual state and local procurement activity under this taxonomy entry. The recent opportunities block shows zero solicitations for music or sound editing software; instead, the opportunities posted under NIGP 20960 cover catalog discount bids for musical instruments, school nutrition software, enterprise resource planning systems, student assessment platforms, human resources information systems, technology equipment and services, law enforcement equipment, individualized education program platforms, and airport enforcement citation systems. This disconnect between the NIGP code name and the opportunities attributed to it indicates either a data classification error or a fundamental mismatch in how the category is being applied in the field.

The source provides no evidence of state and local procurement activity actually seeking music or sound editing software. Without recent solicitations that match the code's stated scope, no assessment of issuing-body types, geographic concentration, or representative opportunities can be grounded in procurement reality. No vendor pursuit or market-presence decision can be made on this code based on current market signals.
