NIGP 06587: Truck Bed Liners

NIGP 06587 Truck Bed Liners, an Item code, covers dump truck bed liner materials and spray-in bed liners that state and local governments procure to protect vehicle cargo areas and extend truck service life. The work is straightforward commodity supply: vendors deliver liner material or spray-application services meeting agency specifications, often under term contracts with a single award. Fort Bend County (Texas) recently solicited proposals for dump truck bed liner material under a term contract with award to one vendor, due August 18, 2026. The Georgia Department of Public Safety posted a solicitation for bed covers and spray-in bed liners in late April 2026. Issuing bodies appear to be individual county purchasing offices and state agency procurement departments rather than school districts or transit authorities; repeat buyers are not evident in the limited recent posting activity.

Recent activity concentrates in Texas and Georgia, though the posting volume is sparse. Fort Bend County's August 2026 opportunity and the Georgia DPS April 2026 solicitation represent the clearest recent instances of this code in market. No contract values, incumbent vendors, detailed specifications, or evaluation criteria are available from the posted notices. The code sees intermittent rather than sustained procurement activity at the state and local level, suggesting it may be worth monitoring for periodic opportunities but does not represent a continuous or high-velocity procurement channel.
