NIGP 02030: Fertilizer Applicators and Fittings, Liquid and Gas

NIGP 02030 Fertilizer Applicators and Fittings, Liquid and Gas is an Item code under which state and local governments procure specialized equipment systems for applying and storing liquid and gaseous fertilizer products, along with associated fittings and components. Recent opportunities show concrete demand for oxygen cascade systems and grounds maintenance chemical supply contracts. Collier County Emergency Medical Services posted a Quick Quote in October 2026 seeking removal and installation of four new oxygen cascade systems at county EMS stations, with turnkey installation, testing, and one-year warranty; Sacramento County issued a Request for Bid in 2023 (posted September 2026) for grounds maintenance chemicals and seeds serving transportation, water resources, airports, parks, and golf course operations, covering approximately 80 line items ranging from gallons of herbicides and pesticides to 25,000 pounds of fertilizer and seed mixes with an estimated annual expenditure of approximately $435,000. Issuing bodies include county emergency services departments, county transportation and water resources agencies, county parks departments, and regional airport authorities. Vendors must meet regulatory requirements including EPA registration for pesticides, California pesticide dealer licensing where applicable, hazardous materials transportation compliance, and professional certifications specific to the products and services involved.

Geographic activity spans Florida and California in recent postings, with Collier County and Pasco County in Florida soliciting oxygen cascade systems and copper sulfate supplies respectively, and Sacramento County in California conducting the larger grounds maintenance chemical procurement. The Sacramento County contract represents the most substantial recent opportunity, with firm unit pricing required for the initial year and potential adjustments in subsequent years based on manufacturers' suggested retail prices, though the contract reserves the option for two additional one-year renewals. Collier County's EMS oxygen cascade system replacement requires all-inclusive lump-sum pricing with no surcharges, FOB destination delivery, and firm pricing through fiscal year 2027. Both opportunities emphasize regulatory compliance, proper permitting, insurance coverage including general liability and workers' compensation, and vendor accountability through warranty obligations and product take-back provisions.
