About this award
The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) Institutional Division has awarded a term contract to H. Schrier & Co., Inc. of Brooklyn, New York for the procurement of cafeteria food products. Specifically, the contract involves the purchase of 1,000 boxes of lasagna (wavy or flat form), with each 20-pound box priced at $19.40, resulting in a total contract value of $19,400.00. The contract covers a three-month supply, with delivery scheduled to the Southern Region Distribution Center located in Rosharon, Texas.
The contract, identified as Term 26002438, is effective from September 18, 2025, to August 31, 2026. The lasagna, manufactured by Premium, will be delivered in increments of 50 boxes to Area 5, with a 30-day delivery timeline and a requirement for 24-hour advance notice for scheduling. The purchasing process will be managed through TDCJ Accounts Payable in Huntsville, Texas, with Heather Coleman serving as the agency purchaser. The term contract structure suggests ongoing procurement needs for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice's institutional food service operations.
