These teams accomplish modification/maintenance/repair on weapons systems and support equipment at operational government installations both within the Continental United States and overseas. The work is accomplished on various Army, Navy, and Air Force weapons systems and support equipment. The solicitation contemplates the award of up to seven contracts (with up to tee awards under the small business set-aside and up to four awards under full and open competition). The government reserves the right to award more or less contracts or to a different small/large business mix if in the best interests of the government. The contrct will contain time and materials, firm-fixed price, cost plus incentive fee, and fixed price incentive (Firm) contract line items. Any contracts resulting from this solicitation shall be evaluated using source selection procedures set forth is AFFARs 5315.3. The anticipated date for release of the draft RFP is 28 Nov 2006, followed by a presolicitation conference on 12 Dec 2006, followed by issuance of the formal RFP on approximately 15 Jan 2006. (This value is a program maximum - each contract will have a stated maximum of $9.76 Billion in the event that one awardee wins all of the work) Length of contract is anticipated to be seven years total, with a two-year basic, 2, two-year options and 1 one-year option. The estimated dollar value of the contract will be $9.76 Billion. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered. Any synopses, RFPs, amendments, etc. will be provided tough the GPE at http://www.fedbizopps.gov.
