About this IDV

The University of Colorado, a U.S. state government entity and accredited public research university, was awarded an indefinite delivery contract (IDC) from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Johnson Space Center with a ceiling value of $18,000,000. The contract, which does not have a set-aside designation, is for the University of Colorado to provide a range of research, development, and engineering services to support NASA's human spaceflight, space life sciences, and biomedical technology programs.

Under this IDC, the University of Colorado has been awarded numerous firm fixed-price delivery orders to conduct specific research projects and provide technical support services. These projects include studying the effects of microgravity on human physiology, developing tissue-engineered heart and muscle models, investigating the evolution of microorganisms in space, and supporting the integration and on-orbit operations of experiments aboard the International Space Station. The delivery orders, valued from thousands to millions of dollars, will be performed primarily at the University's facilities in Boulder, Colorado with a period of performance extending to 2027.
