The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), a civilian agency within the Department of Health and Human Services, has awarded multiple contracts and Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) to David-James LLC, a for-profit limited liability company, to provide auditing, examination, and oversight services for the Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D, and related healthcare programs. Under a $64.7 million Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) contract spanning 2007 to 2027, David-James LLC has been issued task orders ranging from $2.2 million to $30.5 million to conduct annual financial audits, cost report examinations, and medical coding reviews for Medicare Managed Care Organizations and Prescription Drug Plans. This supports CMS's administration and monitoring of Medicare Advantage and Medicare Part D programs. David-James LLC has also been awarded two significant BPAs through the MAS contract vehicle - a $50 million BPA for medical coding review examinations and a $5 million BPA for cost report audits of Medicare Managed Care Organizations. These IDVs enable CMS to efficiently procure David-James LLC's specialized auditing and oversight services on an as-needed basis over multi-year periods. The contracted services, performed primarily in Nottingham, Maryland, aim to ensure proper billing practices, financial integrity, and regulatory compliance within Medicare managed care and prescription drug programs.
