THE PURPOSE OF THIS AWARD IS TO PROVIDE FUNDING TO THE IOWA WESTERN COMMUNITY COLLEGE TO RECRUIT AND ENROLL QUALIFIED STUDENTS IN THE COLLEGE?S COMMERCIAL DRIVER?S LICENSE PROGRAM. IOWA WESTERN COMMUNITY COLLEGE ANTICIPATES ENROLLING AT LEAST 21 STUDENTS WITH A TUITION COST OF $3,704. THE FMCSA APPROVES THE PROJECT PLAN AND BUDGET AT A REDUCED FUNDING AMOUNT FROM THE ORIGINAL APPLICATION. FMCSA $17,000 REDUCTION FOR UNAPPROVED INDIRECT COSTS. THE FMCSA IS RECOMMENDING A REDUCTION TOTALING $118,676 DUE TO AVAILABILITY OF FUNDING. THIS WILL ALLOW THE AGENCY TO FUND ADDITIONAL APPLICATIONS AND TO GEOGRAPHICALLY DISPERSE AWARDS.
