THE PURPOSE OF THIS AWARD IS TO PROVIDE FUNDING TO THE NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS COLLEGE TO RECRUIT AND ENROLL QUALIFIED STUDENTS IN THE COLLEGE?S COMMERCIAL DRIVER?S LICENSE PROGRAM. NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS COLLEGE ANTICIPATES ENROLLING AT LEAST 13 STUDENTS WITH A TUITION COST OF $5,500. THE FMCSA APPROVES THE PROJECT PLAN AND BUDGET AT A REDUCED FUNDING AMOUNT FROM THE ORIGINAL APPLICATION. THE FMCSA IS RECOMMENDING A REDUCTION TOTALING $121,000 DUE TO AVAILABILITY OF FUNDING. THIS WILL ALLOW THE AGENCY TO FUND ADDITIONAL APPLICATIONS AND TO GEOGRAPHICALLY DISPERSE AWARDS.
