This Cooperative Agreement award of $5,000,000.00 from the U.S. Department of Labor's Employment and Training Administration (CFDA 17.270 - Reentry Employment Opportunities) supports comprehensive workforce development services for justice-involved individuals to improve employment outcomes and reduce recidivism. Key services include occupational skills training, job readiness preparation, case management, mentoring, and placement assistance to connect participants to in-demand industries and provide industry-recognized credentials.

The prime awardee, the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry, will administer and distribute the federal grant funds to sub-awardees such as Goodwill of the Southern Alleghenies to deliver these reentry employment services across the state. The sub-award to Goodwill will provide additional education, training, clothing, and career development support to help disadvantaged populations achieve economic independence through sustainable employment.
