The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute issued a purchase order to Dmt-USA Inc. for a DMT pressure myograph system valued at $46,630 on September 16, 2026. The award is a sole-source acquisition under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) with no set-aside.
Performance occurs in Bethesda, Maryland, with completion due December 15, 2026. The system enables ex vivo physiological assessment of small blood vessels from mouse models, accommodating vessels from approximately 60 micrometers to at least 1.2 millimeters in diameter. The procurement includes interchangeable cannulas, longitudinal force transducer for axial vessel force measurement, integrated inlet and outlet pressure transducers, microscope with integrated camera and infrared illumination, and real-time acquisition and analysis software for vessel-diameter tracking. Delivery, installation, operational verification, and basic user training are included. NHLBI's technical assessment determined that Dmt-USA Inc. is the sole source capable of providing an integrated pressure myograph with the required longitudinal force-measurement capability; competing systems lack the complete combination of vessel-size flexibility, force measurement, integrated pressure transducers, microscopy integration, and compatible real-time software required for accurate vascular-function data.
