The Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management, Montana-Dakotas Region, issued a purchase order to Advanced Trail Services LLC, a small disadvantaged business, for 2026 trail maintenance services valued at $49,950 under a total small business set-aside, awarded September 25, 2026.
Work covers 22.5 miles of trails across three travel management areas in Carbon County, Montana: Pryor Mountain Trails (13.9 miles), Acton Fire Road and spurs (4.9 miles), and Cottonwood Hunt Creek/Cub Creek/Ridge Junction (3.7 miles). All trails are UTV width. Maintenance tasks include restoring, clearing debris, grading, filling ruts, reshaping tread, cleaning drainage structures, widening pullouts, and removing protruding rocks and roots. The contractor furnishes all equipment, including a SWECO 450, 480, or 500 trail dozer with 6-Way Dozer Blade and 3-Shank Ripper, plus operators and supplies. Performance is scheduled non-continuously from March 1, 2027, through October 15, 2027, subject to weather and trail conditions. Compensation is firm fixed-price on a per-mile basis with transportation included. The order stems from BLM's September 3, 2026 solicitation (due September 15, 2026), awarded to the lowest-priced responsible quoter.
