The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) awarded a $331,262.00 firm-fixed price definitive contract to The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory LLC (APL) to provide spectrum and special projects engineering expertise. This one-year base period contract was awarded through a sole source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-3 due to APL's unique capabilities as the incumbent. The services will support NOAA's National Environmental Satellite, Data and Information Service (NESDIS) and other program offices, including expertise in spectrum management, small satellite direct communication system validation, and mitigating interference risks from 5G technology. The contract does not have a set-aside designation.
