About the company
Manipur Network of Positive People (MNP+) is a non-profit organization established by people living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV) in the state of Manipur, India. It consists of over 2,500 members from various district-level networks and plays a vital role in supporting and advocating for the rights of PLHIV in the region.
MNP+ has been a subgrantee on several federal grants awarded through the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) program. In partnership with Path, a prime grantee, MNP+ has implemented the "Project Sunshine" initiative aimed at achieving HIV epidemic control in PEPFAR geographies of India. Under this project, MNP+ plays key roles in implementing comprehensive enhanced HIV testing strategies, continuum of care, index testing, and peer-led approaches for identifying and testing PLHIV. Additionally, MNP+ strengthens district-level networks through capacity building, efficient linkages, and sensitization activities for PLHIV on antiretroviral therapy (ART). MNP+ has also collaborated with Path to provide primary health services, early detection, ART initiation, viral load monitoring, and comprehensive care centers for key populations, including people who inject drugs (PWID) and female injecting drug users (FIDUS). Furthermore, MNP+ has implemented programs funded by the Manipur State AIDS Control Society, such as substitution of opioid drugs for PLHIV with buprenorphine and a targeted intervention program for PLHIV and their spouses.
