About End Modern Slavery Initiative Foundation
End Modern Slavery Initiative Foundation, doing business as Global Fund To End Modern Slavery (GFEMS), is an international fund established in 2017 to combat modern slavery by mobilizing resources, evidence, and partnerships. GFEMS focuses on increasing collaboration, investing in effective solutions, and supporting anti-slavery efforts globally. It is registered as a non-profit corporate entity (tax exempt) and foundation in SAM.gov.
GFEMS received a $5 million cooperative agreement from the Department of State Bureau of International Narcotics Law Enforcement from October 2021 to September 2024 under the International Programs to Combat Human Trafficking program. Through this award, three organizations will develop and test tools to eradicate forced labor in Brazil's coffee sector.
