Centro Studi Americani

Centro Studi Americani (CSA) is a registered non-profit organization in SAM.gov that focuses on promoting American studies and cultural exchange, primarily operating in Italy. The organization is dedicated to enhancing understanding of American culture, academic perspectives, and geopolitical dynamics through educational and cultural initiatives. Its registration in SAM.gov is active through February 13, 2025, indicating its established status as a federal grant recipient.

The organization has consistently received federal grant awards from the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, predominantly focusing on projects that bridge cultural, academic, and geopolitical understanding between the United States and Italy. These grants have included organizing conferences on critical topics such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, transatlantic relations, and the Russian-Ukraine conflict. CSA has also implemented the American Studies Initiative, which aims to promote American studies in Italian academic institutions and high schools. Additionally, the organization has sponsored cultural events like concerts featuring Ukrainian musicians and festivals of American culture. The grants, which range from cooperative agreements to project grants, demonstrate CSA's versatility in addressing diplomatic, educational, and cultural exchange objectives. The majority of these grants have been project-based, with completion dates ranging from a few days to up to a year, and typically involve academic conferences, cultural events, and educational programming that facilitate deeper understanding of American studies and international relations.
