About American Society Of Adaptation Professionals
American Society of Adaptation Professionals (ASAP) is a member-based non-profit organization that unites climate change adaptation professionals to better prepare communities for climate change. ASAP helps members exchange best practices and accelerate innovation for more equitable and effective climate adaptation.
Through a $424,200 cooperative agreement with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), ASAP will collaborate to build a Coastal Resilience to Inundation Community of Practice over four years. The project will increase the use of publicly available climate data and information for coastal inundation science and resilience solutions. ASAP also received a $200,813 AmeriCorps State and National planning grant from the Corporation for National and Community Service to prepare for engaging AmeriCorps members in service projects meeting community needs related to climate resilience in Michigan. Additionally, ASAP was awarded $99,762 from NOAA to execute a nationwide Climate Service Providers Academy training program that gives participants tools to develop quality climate services and assist the climate services marketplace. ASAP has also partnered with Delta Institute as a subrecipient on a project supporting professionals in the climate adaptation field.
