The Wabanaki Public Health & Wellness NPC received a $318,181 Project Grant award from the Department of the Interior Bureau of Indian Affairs Central Office. The grant was awarded under the Indian Child Welfare Act Title II Grants program (CFDA 15.144) to support off-reservation services for Indigenous children in Maine through September 2024. The Indian Child Welfare Act Title II Grants program aims to promote stability and security for American Indian tribes and families by protecting children and preventing separation. This particular award will allow Wabanaki Public Health & Wellness NPC to deliver services that further these goals for Indigenous children living off-reservation in Maine through the end of the three-year project period.
