About this opportunity

The Genesee Transportation Council (GTC) is seeking consulting services to conduct the Wyoming County Route 20A Truck Freight Corridor Study, with proposals due on October 1, 2025, at 4:00 PM. The primary objective of this project is to improve truck freight movement along the Route 20A corridor in Wyoming County by examining existing truck restrictions through Warsaw, evaluating truck route signage, and identifying strategies to enhance freight movement safety. Interested firms must request a Request for Proposals (RFP) package from Joseph Bovenzi, Deputy Director, by calling (585) 232-6240 or emailing jbovenzi@gtcmpo.org. The RFP package will be available starting August 27, 2025, in either hard copy or PDF format, depending on the firm's preference. The study will require a comprehensive analysis of the current truck routing challenges, potential safety improvements, and recommendations for optimizing freight transportation in the corridor.

The contract does not have a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned business set-aside, but it does include a Disadvantaged Owned Sub-Contracting Goal of 2.9%. The contract term is specified as one year and will be focused on Wyoming County, New York. No business entities have been awarded an identical or substantially similar procurement contract within the past five years. While specific budget details are not provided, the procurement is for a consulting services study, which typically ranges from $50,000 to $150,000 depending on the complexity of the research and analysis required. Potential respondents should carefully review the full RFP package when received to understand the complete scope of work, submission requirements, and evaluation criteria for this transportation planning project.
