The procurement is specifically for Contract No. 1 - General Construction, which involves paving work for a wastewater treatment plant driveway. Bidders must submit proposals electronically and accompany their bid with a certified check or bid bond representing 10% of the total bid amount as a performance guarantee. The project is partially funded by federal funding and will require strict adherence to Davis Bacon Wage Rate requirements for all laborers and mechanics. Bidding and Contract Documents are available for free download on the PennBid platform after registration, with printing costs to be borne by interested parties. No pre-bid conference is scheduled, and bidders can contact PennBid at 610-693-4769 or info@pennbid.net for technical support.

The contract opportunity emphasizes non-discrimination requirements, mandating that contractors ensure equal employment opportunities across race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, and disability status. Contractors must comply with the Nondiscrimination/Sexual Harassment Clause, Americans with Disabilities Act, Pennsylvania Human Relations Act, and relevant federal and state regulations regarding workplace diversity and inclusion. Disadvantaged business enterprises are encouraged to participate, though specific set-aside percentages are not detailed in the available documentation. The Galeton Borough Authority reserves the right to waive irregularities in bid submissions, providing flexibility in the procurement process. While specific budget ranges are not explicitly stated, the project's federal funding and comprehensive documentation suggest a substantial infrastructure investment. The procurement appears focused on selecting a qualified contractor capable of executing the driveway paving project with technical proficiency and strict adherence to regulatory standards.
