About this opportunity
The Florida Department of Financial Services, Division of Workers' Compensation, is proposing to purchase statistical information generated by the Workers' Compensation Research Institute (WCRI) to measure the performance of the Florida Workers' Compensation System based on several benchmarks studied by WCRI and in comparison to other states. This information will be used to carry out the Division's obligation regarding the state's workers' compensation system and to direct potential legislative changes to ensure the stability of the Florida Workers' Compensation System. Prospective vendors who believe they can provide these services must provide relevant information by May 10, 2023. The estimated dollar amount for this single source acquisition is $195,000, and the contract term is from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024.
This is a sole-source procurement, as the Department has determined that WCRI is the only known entity that compiles and publishes the independent data and analysis required, utilizing a proprietary database and reporting system not available elsewhere. WCRI is an independent non-profit research organization that historically provides information about public policy issues involving workers' compensation. There are no set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond, and no incumbent vendors or current contractors have been identified.

THIS IS NOT A BID
The Department of Financial Services, Division of Workers' Compensation (Division), is proposing to purchase statistical information generated by the WCRI to measure the performance of the Florida Workers' Compensation System based upon several performance benchmarks studied by WCRI and in comparison, to other states involved in the study. This information will, in turn, be used to carry out the Division's obligation in regard to the State's workers' compensation system and to direct potential legislative changes that may be necessary to ensure the stability of the Florida Workers' Compensation System.
Prospective vendors who believe they can provide these services shall provide relevant information no later than May 10, 2023 at 9:00 AM (ET).
If it is determined in writing by the Department, after reviewing any information from prospective vendors, that the services are available only from a single source, the Department will post on the Vendor Information Portal, notice of its intended decision to enter into an agreement with said vendor pursuant to Section 120.57(3), Florida Statutes.
