About this opportunity
The Georgia Department of Public Safety (DPS) is posting a bid to establish a one-year open agency contract, with four one-year optional renewals, for Whelen police vehicle lights, sirens, and accessories, or approved equal. Interested suppliers must submit their bids through the approved sourcing tools, meet mandatory requirements, and pass an administrative review. The contract will be awarded to the lowest priced responsive and responsible supplier(s). The pricing for the contract must include all delivery, shipping, fuel surcharge, and insurance fees, with no additional charges allowed. No minimum quantity requirements will be accepted, as the quantities listed are estimates only. This is a product-only contract, with no installation services included. Suppliers must be registered with the Georgia Department of Revenue and the Georgia Secretary of State's Office. No bonds are required, but liability insurance in the amounts specified will be needed. The contract has an estimated annual award amount of $1,853,559.10, with a total estimated five-year contract value of $9,267,795.50.
The solicitation had two unsuccessful offerors, 144th Marketing Group and Interceptor Public Safety Products Inc., who were not selected as they were not the low bidders. Suppliers can provide early payment discounts as a separate document. There are no set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond, and no incumbent vendors or current contractors were identified. The contract will be awarded to the lowest priced supplier(s) that pass the administrative review and any additional evaluation activities.
