The scope covers two-wheel front-end alignments and four-wheel alignments for passenger vehicles, light pickup trucks, medium trucks, heavy trucks, tandem dumps, vans, and other county fleet vehicles on an as-needed basis. The county fleet comprises approximately 160 vehicles spanning 1982 to 2025 model years. All work must include a 30-day warranty. The initial contract term runs November 1, 2026 through October 31, 2028, with an option for one additional one-year renewal, not to exceed three years total. Pricing must be submitted separately for two contract periods: November 1, 2026 through October 31, 2027, and November 1, 2027 through October 31, 2028. Five service categories are specified: passenger vehicle front-end only; passenger front and rear all-wheel; light trucks and vans up to 9,200 pounds GVW; medium trucks and vans 9,201 to 18,000 pounds GVW; and heavy trucks, tandem dumps, and tractors 18,001 to 66,000 pounds GVW. The county intends to award to a single vendor but may designate primary and secondary vendors.

Bidders must be exempt from federal, state, and sales taxes and provide proof of exemption. Successful contractors must maintain workers' compensation insurance, employer's liability insurance with minimum limits of $1,000,000 combined single limit and $2,000,000 general aggregate, and motor vehicle liability insurance. Bids may be submitted electronically via the county's purchasing webpage, by mail, or in person at 195 Arsenal Street, Watertown, New York 13601. This is a requirements contract with no guaranteed minimum or maximum purchases.
