About this opportunity
The Missouri Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has issued a Request for Quote (RFQ) numbered RFQMGS24000864 for Well Cleaning Services, targeting the rehabilitation of two existing groundwater observation wells located in Clark County and Jefferson City. The project specifically requires removing accumulated sediment from both wells, performing well screen swabbing to clear sediment trapped in slotted intervals, and conducting comprehensive pump tests to ensure efficient communication between the wells and their respective aquifers. The primary objective is to ensure the wells generate truly representative groundwater condition data by verifying their effective communication with the surrounding aquifer. Vendors must submit their complete responses electronically through the MissouriBUYS system by November 28, 2023, at 2:00 PM CST, with all required exhibits (Exhibits A through H) including completed Pricing Pages. The solicitation requires vendors to review detailed specifications in accompanying documents and demonstrate capability to perform the technical rehabilitation services with precision and expertise. Delivery terms are specified as Free On Board Destination, with payment terms set at Net 45 Days.
The RFQ provides no specific information regarding set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise preferences, or restrictions on vendor participation. No incumbent vendors are identified, and the solicitation appears open to all qualified vendors capable of performing the well cleaning and rehabilitation services. While the total estimated contract value is not disclosed, the project involves a targeted, technically complex groundwater monitoring well rehabilitation effort. The DNR has not specified any line-item pricing structure or budget range for the project. Potential respondents should carefully review all solicitation documents, particularly the referenced attachments "RFQMGS2400864 Well Cleaning Services.docx" and "RFQMGS2400864 Well Cleaning Attachment 2.docx", to fully understand the technical requirements and submission expectations. Vendors are solely responsible for ensuring timely and complete submission of their proposal through the MissouriBUYS system.
Opportunity text
The WRC plans to rehabilitate two existing groundwater observation wells. Rehabilitation will include removing sediment that has accumulated in both wells followed by well screen swabbing of each well to clear the remaining sediment that is trapped in the slotted intervals. Pump tests will then be conducted to ensure successful communication between the well and the aquifer. The goal is to ensure that each well is efficiently communicating with the aquifer so that our data is truly representative of the groundwater conditions at each site.
