The project converts septic tank systems to central sewer service across 83 residential parcels in two subdivisions: Phase 6A (Majestic Oaks, 59 parcels) and Phase 6B (Sweetwater Country Club Place, 24 parcels). The contractor must provide daily progress reports, monthly documentation of septic tank abandonments and connections, as-built documentation by a Florida-licensed surveyor, and manufacturer's service and training for installed equipment. Work is limited to a maximum of 2,100 linear feet of disturbed area at any given time. Funding derives from a Florida Department of Environmental Protection grant agreement (WG015) with state funding only; no federal funds apply.
The estimated project cost is $9,515,402.54. Bid bonds equal to at least 10 percent of the estimated contract amount are required, and performance and payment bonds equal to the contract amount are required upon award. The County will award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Questions are due August 3, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. EST through OpenGov's question and answer module. All electronic submissions must be made through OpenGov; hand-delivered, mailed, faxed, or emailed offers will be rejected.
