About this opportunity

A California city's Public Works Department, Operations Division, is requesting sealed proposals for weed abatement and pesticide spraying services across three geographically distinct service areas, with proposals due September 1, 2026. Maintenance activities include inspections, mowing, trimming, pruning, pulling, spraying, litter removal, blowing, and sweeping. The contractor must develop and submit a maintenance schedule and a schedule for all weed abatement and pesticide or herbicide applications. The Public Works Department may request competitive proposals for related work in other specific areas as separate Special Projects, to be bid on a lump sum basis.

The RFP document does not specify contract value, contract term, place of performance, evaluation criteria weighting, set-asides, incumbent contractor status, or detailed technical specifications for each service area. The sourcing document excerpt does not include pricing terms, question deadlines, pre-bid meeting details, or anticipated award date.
