About this opportunity
The State of Colorado, Department of Natural Resources, Colorado Division of Parks and Wildlife (CPW), issued a Request for Documented Quotations (DQ1 2018-0605) for the procurement of one pre-assembled walk-in freezer unit for the Pueblo SAA - Area 11 facility located in Ouray County. The freezer must be a 0°F outdoor unit measuring 10 feet wide by 10 feet long by 7 feet 6 inches tall with fiberglass or galvanized steel construction, R-28 floor insulation and minimum R-32 wall and roof insulation, a 36" x 78" door with heated jamb and magnetic gasket, roof-mounted condensing unit, ceiling-mounted evaporator, automatic or timed defrost, non-slip floor, and crowned roof. The unit shall include comprehensive warranties: one-year complete coverage (parts and labor), five-year compressor warranty, ten-year structural warranty, and fifteen-year insulation warranty. Optional bid items include interior LED lighting, exterior door ramp, temperature alarm, ceiling-mounted rail system with hooks, and heavy-duty stainless steel wire shelving. The awarded vendor must set the unit in place with CPW responsible for electrical hookup (single-phase 220-volt, approximately 30 amps). The written inquiry deadline was January 19, 2018, with bid closing on January 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Mountain Time, and anticipated notice of intent to award on January 30, 2018. Delivery must occur on or before April 1, 2018 to 600 Reservoir Road, Pueblo, Colorado 81005. Bidders were permitted to conduct site walkthroughs during normal business hours (8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding state holidays) with check-in required at the customer service desk.
Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) registered with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs are eligible for a 5% preference on their bid price, and resident bidder preference may apply based on reciprocal arrangements with the nonresident bidder's state of residence. All bid submissions must include a completed bid pricing sheet with total delivered costs, specification verification and delivery sheet, vendor information and verification sheet, current insurance certificates, and a vendor W-9 form (or proof of registration in Colorado's Vendor Self-Service system). The awarded contractor must maintain automobile liability insurance with minimum limits of $1,000,000 each accident combined single limit and name the State as additional insured. All costs including delivery, trade-in value, and discounts must be incorporated into the final bid price, with the State of Colorado bearing no shipping or freight costs. Bids could be submitted via Vendor Self-Service (preferred), email, courier delivery, or personal delivery to the purchasing agent. Payment will occur following delivery and acceptance of the product by the CPW project manager. No specific budget or award value is disclosed in the procurement documents.
