About this opportunity
The Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS), through its Office of Emergency Management (OEM), has issued a Request for Information (RFI) seeking information from organizations that install, employ, and/or provide maintenance for products to enhance the current alert and notification platform at the DSHS headquarters building in Olympia, Washington. The proposed solution includes the ability to integrate with local WSP, Capital Campus security management system, software applications, interior and exterior speaker systems, visual alerting, reader boards, duress buttons, and connectivity to 911, fire, and EMS services. The Department is looking to upgrade their current alert and notification system to better accommodate deaf and hard of hearing employees and visitors. Responses to this RFI are requested by October 4, 2024, but this is not a competitive solicitation and will not result in a contract award. The RFI does not solicit pricing at this time, and is intended to obtain information that may assist the Department in determining the availability of solutions and services that may be required.
The RFI is open to all interested organizations, and the Department reserves the right to freely utilize any ideas and information received as a result of this RFI in developing potential solutions to the Department's requirements, and to explore any and all options for meeting its need for services, including but not limited to options that are brought to its attention through this RFI. The Department has not provided any budget or award value information, nor have they listed any incumbent vendors or current contractors.
