About this opportunity

The City of Dania Beach, Florida is issuing Request for Proposal (RFP) No. 25-018 for Uniforms and Custom Apparel, seeking qualified vendors to supply a comprehensive uniform and apparel solution for city employees across multiple departments. The procurement encompasses assorted polo shirts, T-shirts, knit shirts, woven/dress shirts, sweatshirts, fleece, jackets, caps, outerwear, and work pants/shorts in various fabrics, sleeve lengths, and styles for both men and women, with sizing options from XS to 5XL. Successful vendors must provide a dedicated sales representative, online ordering capabilities, and the ability to customize apparel with city-approved logos, along with firm fixed pricing for decoration services including screen printing and embroidery. The initial contract term is three years with potential for one additional two-year renewal contingent on budget approval. Proposals are due electronically through the City's OpenGov e-Procurement Portal by 10:00 am on August 18, 2025, with submission deadlines for questions to be determined per the procurement portal requirements. Evaluation will be conducted on a points-based system across four criteria: Firm Qualifications (30%), Approach (35%), Price Proposal (25%), and References (10%), with vendors required to submit fixed percentage discounts off catalog or website list pricing for apparel items.

The City of Dania Beach encourages participation from minority-owned, women-owned, and labor surplus area businesses, though no specific set-asides or restrictions limiting eligibility to particular business classifications are indicated in the procurement documents. All proposers must comply with applicable legal requirements including drug-free workplace certification, anti-human trafficking laws, and public entity crime regulations. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the available documentation, nor are specific budget ranges or award values disclosed in the RFP materials. The procurement does not require integration with existing infrastructure or technology beyond standard online ordering capabilities through the vendor's platform. This opportunity represents a three-year supply contract for branded apparel services with the potential for extended engagement through the two-year renewal option, subject to satisfactory performance and municipal budget authorization.
