About this opportunity
The University of North Georgia (UNG), a state leadership institution and the Military College of Georgia within the University System of Georgia, is issuing an electronic Request for Information (eRFI) to solicit information from interested suppliers regarding athletic apparel, equipment, and accessories. This eRFI, posted on January 26, 2023, with a due date of February 9, 2023, seeks to gather information that will assist UNG in determining the most effective solution to fulfill its athletic procurement needs. The university, serving approximately 20,000 students across five campuses and positioned in the fastest-growing region of Georgia, operates an NCAA Division II athletics program competing in the Peach Belt Conference, sponsoring 13 intercollegiate sports comprising five men's sports and seven women's sports. The eRFI is an information-gathering tool rather than a competitive solicitation and does not satisfy competitive bidding requirements; however, suppliers are strongly encouraged to respond to ensure the university is aware of available goods and services. Potential suppliers should note that failure to respond to this eRFI will not prohibit participation in any subsequent competitive solicitation that may result from this information-gathering process.
The procurement document does not specify set-aside designations, restrictions on respondent types, disadvantaged enterprise requirements, incumbent vendors, or existing infrastructure integration requirements. No award value or budget range is indicated in the available documentation. The eRFI represents an initial phase in UNG's procurement process, and interested suppliers should use this opportunity to introduce their athletic apparel, equipment, and accessories capabilities to the university. Additional details regarding evaluation criteria, specific product requirements, delivery schedules, or submission procedures are not detailed in the provided excerpt. Suppliers seeking to participate should monitor the Georgia state procurement system for further information or the release of any formal competitive solicitation that may follow this eRFI phase.
