About this opportunity
This state and local contracting opportunity is for the procurement of a service to cut and mulch all woody vegetation, except oak species and trees with a diameter at breast height greater than 12 inches, from designated early successional areas on the Thorny Cypress and Tumbleweed Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs) in Dickson County, Tennessee. The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) is issuing this Invitation to Bid (ITB) for approximately 307 total acres across the two WMAs. The successful contractor must have experience mulching tracts of 25 acres or more using skid steer machines with drum mulching heads, and must agree to complete the work by October 25, 2024. Bids will be evaluated based solely on the lowest cost per acre submitted, and TWRA reserves the right to lessen the acreage based on price or quality. The solicitation outlines detailed equipment and safety requirements for the contractor, including minimum horsepower, hydraulic system specifications, and the need for forestry shields.
The ITB does not mention any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. It also does not provide any information about incumbent vendors or current contractors, or indicate the available budget or award value range for this contract opportunity. The funding for this project will come from the state of Tennessee, though the specific source is not specified.
