About this opportunity
Tooele County is soliciting bids on seasonal turf-management services at The Peak Sports and Entertainment Complex under IFB DF26-33, with proposals due September 29, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. Mountain Time. The County will award one of three service packages—Package 1 (All-Inclusive Turf Management, 73.5 acres), Package 2 (Passive-Area Turf Management, 44.4 acres), or Package 3 (Mowing Only, 73.5 acres)—and bidders may propose on any number of packages, though only one award will be made. Addendum 1 (September 23, 2026) clarified that bidders need not respond to all three packages.
The scope includes seasonal mowing (weekly for passive areas, twice-weekly for athletic fields), and—depending on the selected package—chemical applications and aeration across individual service areas ranging from 0.2 to 13.3 acres. Contractors must hold at least three years of comparable turf-maintenance experience, sufficient personnel and equipment for concurrent service frequencies, all required Utah commercial pesticide-applicator licenses, and a designated supervisor. Pricing must be guaranteed for ninety days and submitted by service area and season through fillable cost tables in the project portal for all five potential contract seasons (2027–2031).
The initial contract term runs March 1 through November 30, 2027, with four optional one-year renewals through November 30, 2031, contingent on satisfactory performance and available funding. Commercial general liability insurance of at least $1 million per occurrence, workers' compensation insurance, and commercial automobile liability insurance are required. The evaluation awards the contract to the responsive and responsible bidder offering the lowest five-season evaluated price within the selected package. An optional, unscheduled site visit is available during normal operating hours. The County anticipates notice of intent to award in October 2026. No bid security, performance bond, or payment bond is required.
